The Little Acre Gets A Little Help From Charles Cecil

Although it took a small dip in popularity back in the early 2000’s, the point and click adventure genre has gone from strength to strength thanks to the digital storefronts, with titles such as The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 selling millions worldwide. One of the greatest success stories was the Broken Sword series, which was created in part by a young developer named Charles Cecil. Eager to pass on his development knowledge to the next generation, Charles has taken on the role of executive producer for The Little Acre, an all new point and click adventure game announced earlier this year by Pewter Games.

The Little Acre takes places in Ireland in the 1950’s, and centers around a young man named Aidan and his daughter Lily, who are transported to a magical world whilst investigating the mysterious disappearance of Aidan’s father. Whilst Aidan encounters mysterious beings and some dark mysteries surrounding his family, Lily faces her own threats as she offers her assistance in any way she can.

Curve Digital, the game’s publisher has described the game as a Studio Ghibli styled world, with the animation style of a Don Bluth motion picture. If it raises your interest, you will be pleased to learn that the game is set to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year. Will you be taking part in this magical journey when it arrives on home consoles and PC?
