E3 2016: Nintendo Conference Show Guide and Times

Nintendo over the past couple of years has pulled out of the actual E3 show but that does not mean they don’t join by releasing game announcements at the same time. Here’s what is going down for Nintendo at E3 2016.

June 8th

The Legend of Zelda Twitter campaign

Miitomo users should be on Twitter checking @NintendoAmerica for a special tweet about the collaboration between the mobile app and the Zelda franchise. If the tweet gets a combined 10,000 re-tweets worldwide, Nintendo will create a Zelda wig as an in-app gift to all users of the Miitomo mobile app.

Miitomo will get a Zelda themed drop game that will give players a chance to win Legend of Zelda in-app gear for their Mii character. Players can also use coins to purchase Zelda collaboration items and a gift will be available via the My Nintendo website by exchanging their platinum points.

Nintendo Tree House Live Day 1

Nintendo will kick off their E3 show at 9am PT with an introduction from Nintendo of America’s president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. The introduction will take a first look at the The Legend of Zelda game for the WiiU and the first live gameplay of Pokemon Sun and Moon. You can watch Nintendo Treehouse: Live on YouTube and Twitch from 9am PT.

Nintendo eShop Sale

Beginning at 11am PT until 8:59am PT on June 21st, Nintendo are offering a wide range of discounts on some of their games in the Nintendo eShop. To gain extra discounts, players can sign up for My Nintendo and link their Nintendo account to their Nintendo Network ID and access the Nintendo eShop at least once before they make a purchase to get the discount.

Nintendo Treehouse: Live Day 2

Kicking off at 10am PT, the Nintendo Treehouse Live stream will showcase the upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games, Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. A special Pokemon GO developer Q&A will also happen at the start of the day, so Pokemon fans won’t want to miss that.
