NVYVE Studios Show Alpha Gameplay Trailer for Open World Survival Horror Game P.A.M.E.L.A.

New open world survival horror P.A.M.E.L.A showcases some of what to expect in the utopian sci-fi world. The survival horror which is scheduled to be released for summer 2016 will be available on PC through Steam.

“The alpha gameplay video provides players with a deeper insight into the world of P.A.M.E.L.A. Beginning as the player awakens from cryosleep, it showcases the first few moments of the player’s experience as they scavenge for supplies, weapons, and defend themselves against the afflicted citizens of Eden,” said Adam Simonar, Studio Director of NVYVE Studios.

Players can expect to try and survive against all odds through wielding unconventional technology as their explore the eerily beautiful and unforgiving world of Eden. In the alpha gameplay trailer you are shown the opening sequence of waking up in a laboratory and finding a gun which is able to scan objects in the world and sort of dissemble them to store inside as your inventory. A little while later the player picks a shield bracelet and energy sword which is attached to either wrist.

Further in shows off some of the base building mechanics which looks to be similar to games like The Forest, acting as your central hub to return to after exploring parts of Eden. Combat is shown briefly using the futuristic shield (which can break) and the sword. Currently combat looks a little rigid but as it is only alpha footage there is plenty of time for that to change.

“In a completely open and non-linear world, no two players’ experiences will be the same as they struggle against randomly generated dangers and items. Even sanctuary behind the walls of their fortifications can only last so long, as power is finite and constantly depleting.”

Not shown in the trailer are various enemies types such as security droids, robotic custodians and more. Factions are also present in P.A.M.E.L.A. which each have their own behaviours and alliances that changes how they will react with the player. Players will be able to customise a range of modular equipment and each choice they make can have consequences. ‘Enhancing their body with Bio-Augmentation – it might help in the short-term, but at what cost in the long-term?’

P.A.M.E.L.A. will be available in summer 2016 on Steam.
