Valkyria Chronicles Remastered Deploys on May 17th

After being successfully released on the PS4 in Japan early this year, SEGA Europe is bringing Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to Europe on May 17th. As mentioned when the remaster was first announced, the version of Valkyria Chronicles is a straight port of the very popular PC version which was released in November 2014 that includes all of the DLC which was present on the PS3.

The main thing to note is that while Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will mainly be launching as a downloadable title, fans in Europe can pre-order the very creatively named ‘Europa Edition’, which includes the game, a double sided poster which has Squad 7 on one side and Selvaria Bles on the other, as well as a 32 page artbook. Still no word on whether the Valkyria: Azure Revolution demo will be available for those who buy the Western version of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered so it may be a sign that SEGA is not confident enough in the spin off title at this stage to release it outside of Japan.

Based on the footage of Valkyria: Azure Revolution, I’m not holding out much hope but I do hope that fans of the original buy this remaster and prove that people are still up for a traditional Valkyria Chronicles sequel. Also, remaster Skies of Arcadia while you’re at it. Remaster Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 to call it a job well done. Check out the trailer below for more information on the PS4 remaster.
