LEGO have devised a rather impressive formula for their licensed video games which now spans across multiple universes and franchises. The latest to join the Star Wars series is The Force Awakens, with a confirmed release date of June 28th. As LEGO video games are always aimed at the younger generation, The Force Awakens will also be releasing on the previous generation of consoles.
You can play as all your favourite characters; Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren and a lot more. TT Games, the developers behind all of the recent LEGO video games, always inject humour into their creations alongside a lot of hidden content for the completionists among us, which makes all of their games suitable for adults and kids alike. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens appears to be no different, as you can see in their teaser trailer below.
This announcement follows the release of their latest game, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, which received positive comments and reviews from critics, but nothing outstanding. The Star Wars franchise has always been one of the most popular LEGO video games however, with LEGO Star Wars I, II and The Complete Saga being the first three licensed instalments, each being highly praised. If TT Games rely on their successful formula, there is no reason The Force Awakens can’t be another huge success. Hopefully next up is a remake of The Complete Saga for the current generation of consoles!
