EA Leaving E3 Showfloor for new EA Play

EA have claimed that they will not have a large conference this year in favour of a new event that puts the players first. The event is called EA play and will occur in London and Los Angeles from June 12-14.

The EA site states that EA Play will put the players first:

“Our players are the driving force behind everything we do. So this summer, we’re opening up our world to you with unique new live events in Los Angeles and London. We’ll bring the new games, we’ll bring the demos, we’ll bring the competition…and you get to go hands-on. Or join us online and immerse yourself to experience some of our biggest games of the year. Let’s live to play together.”

People who attend the events live at The Mermaid in London or at Club Nokia in LA will get to experience hands-on games demos, live events, and will also have special guest appearances. If players are unable to head down to one of the two locations, they can still attend the events via online streaming. By viewing the streams online players will get to see livestreams for all upcoming EA titles and behind the scenes content.

EA are letting people sign up for notifications of more information via their EA Play website.
