New Sega Game To Be Announced Tomorrow

For SEGA fans, this year is one to be celebrated as Sonic the Hedgehog series has officially reached it’s 25th year. It has not been an easy road for the blue blur over the last decade, with celebrated successes such as Sonic Generations and the mixed reception that arose from the Sonic Boom franchise. On this anniversary year, we are being promised a return to form for the fastest thing alive, as well as the other franchises they have on their resume, such as Space Channel 5 and Crazy Taxi.

On a related note, SEGA have released this status update on their official Facebook page.

“If you’re a fan of the classics, you’ll definitely want to tune in tomorrow for our new game announcement.”

Unfortunately, the post has since been removed, so it is possible that the information was released pre-maturely. Whether or not it was meant to be unveiled, it certainly does keep us in suspense for something new from the legendary development team.

As if this promise of a new game were not enough, Aaron Weber from SEGA’s PR department took to Tumblr and revealed this cryptic paragraph inside a set of hashtags for his latest post alongside a picture of his breakfast. If you don’t like sorting through hashtags, a translated version is provided below.

“Do you know what makes a good tease good? In our opinion – it’s layers. Just like biting into a nice seven-layer bean dip! A little bit here – another taste there. And in the end all the flavors come together. And you wind up eating half of it and then regretting your voraciousness later. So for those of you starving for a little news to consume about this year, there’s still some time before anything will be revealed. But if you can follow the breadcrumbs, who knows what you might discover in the weeks to come?”
