Fast, frantic and devilishly deep, the super-charged fighter BlazBlue is coming back to consoles for yet more chaos. Following on from the events of previous game Continuum Shift, this new entry to the much adored BlazBlue series brings us new characters, new moves, new fighting mechanics and most of all truly gorgeous visuals.

Given a next-fen face lift, the frankly stunning artwork seems to pop-out at every given chance. With re-drawn character sprites, heightened animation and a bevy of newly composed music, Chrono Phantasma Extend looks to be the biggest and boldest entry in the BlazBlue series to date.

Perhaps most exciting is the games’ huge roster of 28 characters, including DLC characters. Building off of Continuum Shift’s hefty nineteen, fan favourites like Noel Vermillion and Ragna the Blood-Edge return in super high-def alongside newcomers like the NOL general Kagura Mutsuka and Sector Seven mercenary Bullet. Each new character will bring their own signature moves and play-style to the game. Whilst new mechanics like Overdrives and Guard Crushes will serve to fine-tune the system and give long-time players some new skills to hone.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend is available on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PS Vita and Xbox One as of today.
