The continuation of the Tomb Raider reboot is less than a month away, and to help us bear the wait, Crystal Dynamics have released the first episode of a documentary series showing the new mechanics that will appear in Rise Of The Tomb Raider. The initial video takes us to the exotic locations that Lara will visit on her travels, to show how she will use her intelligence and the world around her to survive the many dangers she will face, such as wild animals, gale force winds and avalanches.
The base camps and hunting mechanics return from the 2013 reboot, as well as the wild animals that inhabit the areas outside of civilization. The allies system shown in the episode is entitrely new, as it relies on you communicating with non playable characters to gain exclusive rewards, and access to otherwise unreachable locations by completing specific objectives given to you along the way.
