Ubisoft has performed a promotional stunt today in London (of course) as the launch of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate looms. In celebration of the launch this Friday, a collection of Penny Farthings (those Victorian bicycles with hilariously asymmetric wheels) and appropriately dressed riders descended upon London to re-enact a typical commute from the era. How this sells Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to gamers is beyond me, but it must’ve been a mildly interesting sight nonetheless, as you can see in this video that Ubisoft has produced. It shows how a normal Penny Farthing ride might have gone during the era in which Assassin’s Creed Syndicate takes place.

Whether or not this is at all relevant as far as game marketing goes is debatable, but if you’re on the hype train for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate you’re no doubt in the thralls of the agonizing wait until Friday, when the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One.
