After a successful first year, United Kingdom Interactive Entertainment, or UKIE for short have decided to hold a second conference at Staffordshire University. The event is scheduled to be held on October 21st 2015, and there will be no charge for entry as in the previous year.
As well as several talks from representatives of several game studios based in the UK, the University’s Epic Games Centre will be used to allow students to have face to face interviews with some of the speakers, and a list of recommended elements to put on your CV will be posted around the campus. The lecture halls will include talks on all stages of game development, from pre-production to 3D modelling and marketing strategies for your finished product.
Several companies have already been confirmed to attend, but it is possible that more will be added to the roster before the big day arrives. A short sample is listed below, alongside the role they play in the games industry. If you are interested on seeing the full list, or want to reserve a free ticket, you can visit the official website of the conference.
