We’ve all bought a Humble Bundle at one point or another, we’ve seen that we can get a decent amount of indie games to clog up our Steam accounts for as little as a penny, it’s a good system and has proven rather successful to the people at Humble. So much so that they are now expanding the service to a monthly subscription based model.
It has been called Humble Monthly, for a small fee of $12 a month, the people at Humble will drop a new game into your Steam account once a month.
It is yet unknown what the first game will be in this monthly service, but Humble have offered a tasty bonus for those who sign up before November 6th; a free copy of Legend of Grimrock 2.
Humble Bundle have said that they plan to keep the monthly title a mystery until the game arrives in the player’s account and that the featured title for every month will be of equal or more value than the cost of the subscription, this means we won’t be expecting cheap £5 indie titles to be popping up in the featured box for the subscription.
Humble have not yet stated a choice for an annual pay option and has instead allowed players to sign up for the subscription service using the planned monthly option, but has also allowed users to cancel the service whenever they wish, without it impacting the games they have already received.
In standard Humble Bundle fashion, 5% of the proceeds will be given to earmarked charitable causes around the world.
