This month doctors without borders got a surprising donation thanks to Fnatic CSGO player Robin ‘Flusha’ Ronnquist.
The player recently won $4500 in the FACEIT monthly league for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Instead of taking the cash prize like he could of, it was donated completely to the charity organisation which makes sure that all are entitled to health care support especially in war torn countries.
“After contacting the players to retrieve their details in order to send their prizes, we received a great gesture from Flusha! Instead of sending his payment details, he requested the funds to be send to a charity; Doctors Without Borders. A gesture showing there is much more to CS than money and above anything it’s about passion.”
– Michele Attisani, COO at FACEIT
To make the gesture even better FACEIT doubled the money which brought the total donation to $9000.
Ronnquist has been a team member with Fnatic since 2013 being one of the earliest recruits and considered to be one of the best CS:GO players in the world.
A nice story to start the day and a great show of passion in the eSports community and gaming.
