In an announcement by Capcom over the weekend, it has been revealed the finals of the Capcom Cup will take place during the Playstation Experience in San Francisco on Sunday 9th December. The finals will take place over the whole day and will see the top 32 players battle for the title of Street Fighter World Champion and a shot at the giant $250,000 prize pool. This event will also be the last real championship for Ultra Street Fighter 4 and will act as the final hurrah, before Street Fighter V comes out and takes its place as the dominant fighting game on the market.
The event will take back at Moscone West in San Francisco and Sunday only tickets cost around $45 and are required to spectate the Capcom Cup finals so make sure to buy the right ticket. The event will of course be streamed on the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel and it is safe to expect there will be some Street Fighter V related announcement from Capcom during the course of the finals, probably the launch date for SFV so look out for that. Pencil the 9th of December in your diaries as a day for some top level Street Fighter and if you want all the pricing details, check the official event information here.
