UK Official Partner For gamescom 2015

The UK are the official partners for gamescom 2015 and was achieved by the direction of games trade body Ukie, one of the biggest markets for the computer and video game industry and a big location for games development.

Ukie hope to expand, support and promote the UK’s game industry with over 260 members the partner country of gamescom represents the international exhibitor community at the worlds biggest event for gaming and entertainment which is happening in Cologne, Germany 5 -9 August 2015.

In 2014 the UK saw the highest number of exhibitors at gamescom 2014 with 81 with the trade share of visitors from the UK being 10 percent which ranked 2nd in the international ranking.

The result is that the United Kingdom is not only one of the most important markets worldwide, but it is also one of the most important locations for the development of computer and video games. This is why we are striving to strengthen the relationships between the German and British industries. Furthermore, the German economic policy can learn a great deal from the United Kingdom, in order to strengthen this future-oriented media industry in Germany,”
