Slightly Mad Studios and BANDAI NAMCO have confirmed that Project CARS has gone gold. Alongside this announcement, the final track list of the game has been revealed.
“After months of intense work on what will certainly be THE ultimate racing experience, we’re extremely happy to confirm that Project CARS has now gone gold and will release in EMEA territories on May 7th 2015” said Ian Bell, Head of Studio at Slightly Mad Studios “We know the wait for the game to be released was worth it, as we’re confident the quality and realism level we have achieved will provide our fans with the game they are all expecting. Finally, we are also delighted to reveal the final track list. With more than 30 locations, Project CARS offers the largest track roster of any recent racing game.”
Project CARS has been in development for over three years, playable via early access for a long period of the development cycle. Despite one or two delays along the way it seems CARS is finally leaving the pits and on the starting grid ahead of release.
The confirmed track list, containing 110 different tracks over 30 different locations sees some huge names from around the world, as well as a few personal highlights including Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park. English racing is well represented, with the inclusions of Donington Park, Snetterton, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch alongside Cadwell. The full track list is viewable on the Project Cars site.
Project Cars will be coming to PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC on May 8th 2015 in the UK and May 7th in Europe and Australasia.
