Mortal Kombat X Launch Trailer Drops

As hype levels reach overdrive and we inch closer to the game’s launch, NetherRealm have released a launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X, complete with System of A Down providing a soundtrack. In a video which reminds me a lot of old AMVs from the early era of Youtube, NetherRealm have cut bits of gameplay and Story Mode to the tune of Chop Suey, resulting in an over the top, campy and incredibly violent trailer which embodies Mortal Kombat essentially.

We even got a sneak peek at Liu Kang’s second Fatality, which involves him thrusting his legs inside someone’s torso and splitting them apart, causing viscera and bits of intestine to fly everywhere. I can’t think of a better way to herald the new era of Mortal Kombat than that. Mortal Kombat X launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Tuesday the 14th of April, with no concrete news on the release date of its last generation versions as of yet. Check out the trailer below and expect our full length review very soon.
