If you have been waiting for another use for your Amiibo figures apart from unlocking new costumes in Mario Kart 8 or storing fighter data in Smash Bros, then you are in luck.  With selected characters, you can now unlock Virtual Console highlights from their past. You will only be able to play each game for three minutes, but many of them will include nine different segments for you to try out. Games that are confirmed for the service include Super Mario World, Super Metroid and Kirby Adventure.
