DONTNOD Entertainment have released the launch trailer for their upcoming episodic game, Life is Strange. Life is Strange follows the story of Maxine Caulfield as she comes to terms with her new found ability to reverse time.
It looks like Telltale finally have some competition in the episodic, choice-driven adventure game market, and Life is Strange’s time travel hook will mix up the formula nicely. Think about it, if you make a choice and it goes badly you can reverse time to undo it, but that new choice may be worse for you in the long run. Exciting stuff.
DONTNOD’s last title, Remember Me was possibly the most ironically titled game of all time, considering no one does remember it. With that said, it had some great ideas and I, for one, am thankful that rumours of DONTNOD’s demise were greatly exaggerated. Let’s just hope the script writer has had time to improve, I don’t want to hear anything like “this little red riding hood’s got a basket full of kickass” ever again.
Yes, seriously that is a line from Remember Me. I wish I was making it up, but I’m not. Cool game apart from that line though, check it out. Also check out Life is Strange, which launches 30th January on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC.
