It’s been a rough journey for Marvelous AQL’s latest addition to the Rune Factory series, but the company have confirmed today that Rune Factory 4 will finally be making its way to European shores. This news comes as a welcome surprise to fans, after the game was cancelled at the beginning of the year after being set for a Spring release.
The publishers announcement stated, “we’ve been working on this project together for a while now, but we didn’t want to announce anything officially until we were 100% sure it was going ahead. We saw the frustration of Rune Factory fans when the PAL release was regretfully cancelled the first time round, and it’s been our mission to put things right ever since.”
Regarded as the best Rune Factory entry by many, Rune Factory 4 is the first in the series where you can chooses a male or female protagonist. Just like its predecessors, the game skilfully combines the dangers of dungeon crawling and monster slaying with more everyday tasks such as farming, crafting and wooing the townsfolk. Such is the popularity of the series that Rune Factory 4 completely sold out upon launch in the US way back in October 2013.
Rune Factory 4 will be a straight to eShop release, and will be available to download from December 11th for £24.99.
