Rockstar Games have confirmed today that the re-release of GTA V for Xbox One, PS4 and PC will feature a first-person mode.
In an exclusive interview with IGN, Rockstar’s animation director, Rob Nelson, explained that first-person was intended for the original release of GTA V, but in the end they were too busy making the game itself to include it. The power behind the next-gen consoles also provided the boost the Rockstar team needed to make the first-person experience the best it could be. Nelson told IGN this new mode provides, “a very intense, in-your-face experience… literally,” with all the little details you may have missed when playing in third-person now much more prominent for players to see.
You can watch the first trailer of the new mode below, to see just how much more enhanced an experience it provides.
GTA V will be available on Xbox One and PS4 from November 8th, and PC in January next year.
