Please Knock On My Door To Arrive In 2015

The subject of mental health is a subject rarely approached in video games, but it is starting to get positive exposure with recent titles such as Zoe Quinn’s text adventure Depression Quest. GTLime, a developer from Sweden, have announced Please Knock On My Door for release in 2015. The playable character of the game is suffering from depression, so it is up to the player to guide them through everyday actions to help them live with their condition. Certain events will be triggered if the player enters a particular mood state, and a crippling fear of spiders will provide conflict of another nature.

The developers have revealed that the name steams from the action of slowly taking down the defenses of an affected individual, so they can help the sufferer to break their cycle of depression. The game’s music is being provided by Ola Bäckström, who composed the music and sound effects for Epigenesis, an indie title released earlier this year.
