The Yogscast, one of the leading Youtube groups, has launched an online games store. This store will allow fans of their videos to purchase games featured on their channels.
Yogscast co-founder Lewis Brindley said: “We’ve chosen to partner with Humble because it is the best place to buy games right now. Our fans can get Steam keys for great games and are supporting both charity and our content creators at the same time. The devs also get a better rate than they would do on Steam so there are advantages for everyone.”
The store is set up in partnership with Humble Bundle, allowing them to offer discounts on the titles featured in the store. The partnership also sees 10% of sales going to charity, with War Child the first charity announced for this partnership. The Yogscast will receive a 5% slice of the sales, with the 85% bulk being split by Humble Bundle and game developers.
Humble Bundle co-founder John Graham said: “Humble Bundle is excited to open up our store infrastructure to new internet audiences. We are proud to provide a way for Yognau(gh)ts to support the Yogscast and War Child directly via the Yogscast Games Store.”
The launch includes Klei Games’ Invisible Inc, Squad’s Kerbal Space Program and David Pittman’s Eldritch, to name just two. The Yogscast Games Store can be found at: https://games.yogscast.com/. More games will be added to the store as they are featured across the Yogscast channels.
