Kobojo have announced their latest title, Zodiac. The 2D online RPG has been in development with some of the team behind the Final Fantasy series. The game was shown to the public for the first time at this years Tokyo Game Show 2014.
The multi-platform RPG is being created across the world with developers from France, Scotland and Tokyo. Final Fantasy scenario writer Kazushige Nojima and composer Hitoshi Sakimoto are just a couple of the people working on the title.
“Working with iconic developers such as Sakimoto-san and Nojima-san has pushed us to perfect every element of the RPG experience for mobile and handheld devices,”
said Mario Rizzo, CEO, Kobojo.
“The combination of their deep knowledge and history along with our company’s experience and artistic style is leading to the creation of Zodiac, our dream cross-platform RPG.”
Zodiac is a blend classical Japanese RPG elements with hand crafted 2D drawn art and being developed in Dundee at Kobojo’s new studio.
Zodiac is slated for release in 2015 but no exact date has been announced.
