Rockstar Games have today announced the release dates for the next-gen and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V, as well as exclusive content for these versions. The game will hit next-gen consoles first, launching on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 2014 and will be followed by a PC release on January 27 2015.
The game will be enhanced to match the capabilities of the three platforms, which will see a range of major visual and technical upgrades to GTA V. On top of an increased draw distance, the player will be able to utilise a higher resolution in which to enjoy Los Santos and Blaine County. There will also be new activities, weapons, and vehicles as well as more wildlife, denser traffic, a new foliage system, and enhanced damage and weather systems.
Pre-ordered copies of the game will reward players with $1,000,000 in-game cash for both single and multiplayer versions. Existing players will be able to transfer their current online characters to their choice of platform, and will also be rewarded with exclusive returning player content such as rare vehicles from previous Grand Theft Auto titles.
Grand Theft Auto Online will be enhanced to see an increased player count of 30 on both the PS4 and Xbox One, although no PC player count has been confirmed.
These announcements come after a long wait for gamers wanting to explore the world of GTA V on next-gen and PC technology. The countdown can officially begin – the wait is almost over.
