Point and click adventure games have experienced a triumphant return since episodic gaming developers Telltale Games and several crowd funded projects have inspired the public’s imagination. This rise in popularity is set to continue with the release of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, which was partially funded by Kickstarter, and by Nordic Games who were the publishers of the original adventure and a prequel named The Critter Chronicles.
Although the game is set to be released in January 2015, the kind folks at KingART Games have enrolled the game in Valve’s Steam Early Access program, so anyone that had funded or pre-ordered the game can play a in-progress version of the very first chapter right now. Several updates will be released over the Early Access period, along with the next chapter of the game every four to six weeks.
If you requested for a DRM free serial key, I am afraid that you will be unable to access the preview, as it is limited to users of Valve’s digital game management system only. If you are interested in finding out more about the game, or you want a taster before you decide to play, be sure to check out the gameplay presentation below, or visit the official website.
