Nintendo have released a new trailer for upcoming Pokemon remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, jam-packed with new details to wrap our heads around.

One of the most exciting reveals of the video is that there will be an online event upon launch of the two games. Those who pick up a copy of Sapphire or Ruby from November 21st will be able to get their hands on a ‘rare’ shiny Beldum, holding a megastone. This means that if you look after your little friend, in no time at all you’ll have access to it’s mega-shiny form, Mega Metacross. While it hasn’t been said how long the promotion will run for, it’s probably best to pick up your game on release if you don’t want to miss out on the special offer.

The trailer also reveals more details on Pokemon Contests, which were one of the main mini-games of Sapphire and Ruby. This time around you’ll be able to use your Mega Pokemon to wow the crowd and dress up your Pikachu to suit all occasions, be it tough, cute or cool. Not only can your Pikachu cosplay for the contest, but you can also take them outside into battles all dressed up, too. It’s somewhere between ridiculous and adorable, but it does have a practical use by allowing your Pikachu to use a new skill it couldn’t usually learn – such as Flying Press in Libre form, the signature move of Hawlucha.

Finally the video introduces some of the new megas that have already been revealed, but are now all in one place. Adding to the list of current Super-Saiyan-Pokemon, Salamence, Lopunny and Altaria will all gain a mega form. As small a little bonus, the trailer also highlights out that hoard battles will make the jump from X & Y, to add a little extra challenge to your daily grind.
