Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Trailer, Release Date and More

During today’s Nintendo conference at E3 more details were revealed on upcoming titles Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and you can now view the trailer right here. The remake of one of the more under-appreciated generations of Pokemon will be available in North America and Japan on November 21st, and Europe on November 28th.

The trailer shows off the new ‘primal’ evolution forms of legendaries Groudon and Kyogre, which is presumably linked to mega evolution. While the trailer doesn’t reveal that much, it would appear that mega evolutions are the only real addition to the remakes, as even character creation from X & Y doesn’t seem to be available.

We do have a few more details, though. Below you can view the updated concept design for the Hoenn map. While there aren’t many significant changes from the original design, the dark shadowy form on the top right has led to some wild speculation from fans. Some believe it may be the Sky Fortress of Rayquaza, others believe it is linked to Giratina, and some are even calling out for Darkrai. Whatever this mysterious dark energy is, it will no doubt play some significance to the story, perhaps taking events in a new direction.
