As well all of the content from the arcade version and a console exclusive extras such as Story Mode and the usual fighting game essentials, the home port of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will receive a rather special treat. Borrowing from the original Persona 4 RPG titles, the Golden Arena mode will place you in a series of battles, and you will receive experience points for each victory you achieve. These will allow you to level up, and learn new skills to use in future battles, presumably only within the Golden Arena itself.

For the first time this week, ATLUS have revealed gameplay footage of the mode, and the navigators that will also receive experience as you fight through the Commu Link, such as Fuuka Yamagishi, Rise Kujikawa and the portable powerhouse that is Nanako Dojima.
