inXile don’t seem to be taking Wasteland 2 opening minutes too seriously. Every other line sounds ripped from a low-budget 80’s action romp, delivered with just enough substance to keep it from derailing itself into full blown parody.

First revealed at MCM London, the intro movie was later posted on Wasteland 2’s Kickstarter page. Featuring a handful of characters looking over the casket of ACE, a companion from the original Wasteland, the guff narrator and Co get ready to retire their old friend.

While the apocalypse isn’t a cheery subject, death is a great way to begin a game…right?
