Lowdown on Magic the Gathering Grand Prix Manchester

Are you a fan of Magic the Gathering, or are thinking about diving into it? Well, here at VGU we have the lowdown on an event that welcomes every kind of Magic player. What event you say? Why the Manchester Grand Prix of course.

First of all, let’s talk about what a Grand Prix is in terms of Magic the Gathering. They are run all over the world and are completely open to all players. They attract a lot of players and the event offers substantial prizes to those who do well. You even receive a prize for participating (while the stocks last). But mainly, the event is a great atmosphere location for players to have fun and test their skills on a grand scale.

As for the skill and experience requirements for the Grand Prix, there are none. You can be a seasoned veteran looking to claim the top spot or, you can be completely new to the game and still have the same amount of fun and enjoyment. Even if you just spectate and observe the matches going on, it is guaranteed that the event will be worthwhile. You could even just go there to trade with the many people you have not seen before.

This festival of Magic will start on Friday 30th May 2014 and will run throughout the weekend. It will be located at EventCity Limited, Phoenix Way, off Barton Dock Road, Urmston, Manchester M41 7TB. Aside from the main event, which will take up the latter two days, there will be a plethora of side events and competitions for all players to enjoy who are not participating in the main event. They include formats such as Legacy and Commander, so be sure to check those out also.
