Far Cry 4 Coming In November 2014

In an announcement yesterday, Ubisoft revealed that the next installment in the Far Cry franchise will be coming a lot quicker that we thought, being released in the USA on the 18th of November and the rest of the world on the 20th. The game will be out for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC and will take players away from the tropical jungles and islands of Far Cry 3, to the untamed perils of Kyrat in the Himalayas, a land ruled by a despotic, self-appointed king.

Players will be able to create their own stories of adventure by using the diverse array of weapons and vehicles that the Far Cry series is known for, whilst dealing with vicious wildlife and navigating through an exotic open world. According to Executive Producer Dan Hay, “[Ubisoft] wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations.” The game is being led by Ubisoft Montreal, with other studios like Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Kiev, Shanghai and Toronto collaborating on the game.

Expect to more information and footage of Far Cry 4 at Ubisoft’s media briefing at this year’s E3.
