The Last of Us, Naughty Dog’s post-pandemic sprawl across a destroyed America, is giving players another excuse to play through the game.
The final piece of content for the Season Pass adds Grounded Mode, a new difficulty setting which promises to up the realism – and therefore the difficulty – to a new level. Naughty Dog says that in the new difficulty, “the AI is relentless, smart, and brutal and survival will be near impossible”.
Also coming as part of the DLC are four new multiplayer maps: Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine and Water Tower. New multiplayer weapons are coming too, including one free of charge: the Full-Auto Rifle, which is a burst rifle that Naughty Dog says should help newcomers to the multiplayer.
All of these pieces of DLC are available seperately, so if you’re a non-season-pass-holder you can ppick and choose which ones to buy. More information is found on Naughty Dog’s official page.
The Season Pass for The Last of Us will be available until the end of the week ending May13th. Presumably all of the content will be included in the recently-announced PS4 version, The Last of Us: Remastered.
