Bulletstorm Disappears From Steam

People Can Fly’s 2011 shooter, Bulletstorm, has disappeared from Steam without so much as a drunken text goodbye.

SlashGear noticed the titles absence, stating that no reason for the game being pulled has been given. It is speculated the reason is due to the inclusion of Games for Windows Live, with the soon to be defunct service turning off for good July 1. It is unknown what the GFWL system will be replaced with, but it would be safe to assume that it will Steamworks.

Bulletstorm is still available on Origin however, so it isn’t like the game is completely unavailable if you want to play Bulletstorm for its “Kill with Skill” mechanics. While it came out to mixed review scores, it has gained a small cult following that enjoyed the anarchic sense of humour and constant madness.
