Neil Druckmann Confirms His Involvement In The Last Of US Movie

After the recent release of The Last Of Us’ DLC “Left Behind”, it was obvious that the fans wanted more from the cordycep infected world. Along with this the rumours of a sequel to the critcally acclaimed title from Developer, Naughty Dog, sparked excitement among the fans, so the news of a film adaptation is hugely exciting for the players looking for that extra bit of Last Of Us action.

The news comes along with the confirmation that Naughty Dogs Creative Director, and writer of The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann, will be writing the script for the film adaptation too. This means that we can rely on the film stick true to the games original storyline. Though the question still hangs on what the plot will involve. Whether it’s the origin of the cordycep virus, or the plight of the freedom fighting Fireflies. In any case, the setting has already been well established for many of us. This will put a lot of pressure on the creative controllers of the film. To add extra credit to this already encouraging news, Evil Dead’s writer and director, Sam Raimi, is said to be taking the role of producer.

For now all we can do is speculate about what this film might hold for its fans, and who will be taking up the acting roles.
