80-Foot Pacman Appears On Sega’s UK HQ

You would be hard-pressed to find someone who didn’t recognize the face of Pacman. Being one of gaming’s most recognizable faces, he has remained a culturally dominant icon for over 30 years.

So imagine your surprise if you saw an 80-foot version of him appearing on your commute home.

Pacman

This is the sight that greeted the residents of Chiswich, London last night, as Bandai Namco projected the icon onto the side of Sega’s UK HQ. Sadly the party was broken up all too soon when local authorities pulled the plug after only 5 minutes.

Lee Kirton, PR & Marketing Director Bandai Namco Games UK, stated:

“We wanted to be cheeky, create some fun, but obviously do it quietly. Something that’s hard to do in the game’s industry, but slightly easier at midnight. We hope Sega aren’t offended, more delighted”

The display of lights were in celebration of the new Pacman game, ‘PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures’. Coming out March 7, the game has been out on 3DS in the US since October and is finally seeing a UK release.
