DeviantArt and Square Enix have teamed up to bring fans the ultimate Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII art contest. To take part, budding artists simply need to create their own customised design for Lightning, to celebrate the huge amounts of customisation available in the latest game. This includes changing Lightning’s weapons, apparel, accessories, and anything else that entrants can think of.

The contest will be judged by Final Fantasy’s character designer, Tetsuya Nomura, who will be looking for originality of design,
overall impact of work, and technical and artistic skill. Three lucky winners will bag themselves an original sketch from Tetsuya Nomura, a custom Xbox 360 and controller, $1000, a keychain, a shirt, and the entire Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. In addition, each winner will be featured on the DeviantArt homepage, for maximum exposure.
