QuakeCon 2014 has been announced for an earlier-than-usual July date on the official website. QuakeCon is the one of the biggest LAN events in the world, where fans come every year with their own PCs to meet up and play, as well as enjoy the big news from the makes of Quake, Id software.

QuakeCon is a free event, and is taking place from Thursday, July 17th – Sunday, July 20th in Dallas, Texas. Various panels, contests, and more are set to be announced  as July gets closer and the anticipation for the event grows.

If you’re planning on attending QuakeCon, the reservations for the venue are being taken now. Maybe we’ll finally see something on the fate of Doom 4 too.
