Epic Vouch They are Still Making Games

An Epic Games spokesperson insists that the company are still developing games despite the sale of its most successful franchise.

Announced earlier today was Microsoft’s acquisition of the rights to the Gears of War series from Epic. Microsoft will be putting their Black Tusk Studios in charge of the series’ next instalment.

This, combined with the departure of the studios design director Cliff Bleszinski and co-president Mike Capps, has lead to speculation of the company leaving the game development.

However, a post today on Twitter from Epic’s PR manager Wes Phillips reassures fans.

Epic revealed Fortnite late in 2011 and there has been little talk of the game since. We hope to see more of the cartoon-based shooter soon.
