The official release date for Broken Age has now been confirmed with the title set for release on January 28th. Those who were able to support the title via Kickstarter will also be able to try their hand at the beta next week. Originally set for release in October 2012, Broken Age was delayed due to the need for further funding.

Due to these complications Broken Age will be released in two parts. The first part shall be the January release date, with the sales from the first half of the title going on to help fund the closing chapter, expected in Spring 2014. With support for Broken Age being in abundance since claiming notoriety in Spike’s VGX awards last year, Double Fine should look confident in moving forward with the project. Let’s hope the first part impresses.

Broken Age is to release for Android, iOS, Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows and Ouya.
