Namco Bandai has announced the JRPG Tales of Zestiria, a new entry in the Tales series.
The game will be released in Japan as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in 2014, with Namco Bandai confirming that the title will eventually be released in North America and Europe.
Tales of Zestiria will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original series release in Japan, with Tales of Zestiria being the 15th title in the series.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, producer Hideo Baba said the team is working hard to “strengthen” the series outside of Japan.
“The Tales Of team has been working hard to strengthen our relationship with overseas fans over the past few years,” said Baba, “and have seen the fruits of our labour with the success of Tales of Xillia which has sold over a million copies worldwide.”
This comes even as Tales of Xillia still has no western release date, but is meant to be arriving in 2014.
“The Tales Of team would like to thank all of the fans around the world for their continued support and extend a warm welcome to new fans to the series as well.”
