Still Hope for New ‘n’ Tasty on Xbox According to Oddworld

As the resident Xbox lover around here, I have to be honest and say that things have been tough over the last 6 months. It’s hard to maintain your love for a console when its creators seem to be doing so many things wrong, or at least explaining what they’re doing in the the worst way possible. One thing Microsoft definitely dropped the ball on was getting indie developers on board and whilst they have rectified that mistake to a large extent with their ID@Xbox program, the damage has been done to some extent.

One of the companies that Microsoft have royally irritated is Oddworld Inhabitants, creators of the Oddworld series. Considering Oddworld worked with Microsoft to create one of the original Xbox’s exclusive titles, Munch’s Oddysee, it’s an impressive turn to see them so alienated by the console giant. As a result, Oddworld’s upcoming title, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is coming to pretty much every platform other than the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

But fear not fellow Xbots, for all hope is not lost. I reached out to Oddworld via the glorious medium of Twitter with a heartfelt plea and it seems that things are still up in the air as to whether Xbox will be graced by Abe the Mudoken’s presence.

So you see, there is still hope for us yet…and if not then I guess that’s just one more reason to pick up a PS4 next year.

What do you think of this news? Happy Abe could be coming to Xbox? Let us know in the comments below.
