Siren was not meant to be listed in a recent Sony press release as a featured PS4 game.
Sony told IGN that the Siren listing was “a mistake” and was in fact referencing the PS4 adventure game, Rime.
“The listing for Siren was a mistake, it should have listed Rime,” a Sony representative explained. “Siren was the working title name for Rime prior to its announcement at Gamescom 2013.”
Siren is a psychological horror that has been deemed Forbidden Siren in Europe after the game was almost banned for its disturbing content. Siren was released for PS2 in 2003 and has two sequels, Forbidden Siren 2 in 2006 also for PS2, and Siren: Blood Curse in 2008 on the PS3.
