Over 12,000 Xbox One Consoles Already Sold on eBay This November

Since November 1st, over 12,000 Xbox One consoles have already been sold on eBay, according to a gamezone interview. At its peak, 7,000 consoles were sold on eBay between November 22nd and November 24th.

“With the XBOX ONE sold out everywhere, gamers hunting for the latest console are coming to eBay to buy one of this holiday’s hottest gifts. With more than 70% of all items sold on eBay being in new condition, eBay is a great place for shoppers to get their hands on the new consoles this holiday, with anticipated inventory throughout the season, when they are sold out everywhere else” noted the rep in contact with the site.

It comes as no surprise that these consoles on eBay are not exactly cheap with many auctions looking to make a quick buck on the console. Many Xbox One consoles are currently selling on the site for $750 and up, $250 more than the regular retail price. Yet customers are still interested in these inflated products as many major retailers are simply sold out of the console. Microsoft is currently attempting to replace the lack of products on the shop floor, “as fast as possible” but there is no certainty that all will be right before Christmas. As a small comparison, the PlayStation 4 sold over 10,000 consoles via eBay in its launch weekend.
