GTA Online Publisher Release Information on How to Report Infinite Money Exploit

Yesterday Rockstar Games provided concise details on how to report players on GTA Online who consistently abuse the infinite money glitch and other such bugs. In a debate that began in the comments sections of Rockstar Newswire website in which a fan complained that three lobbies contained players using various customs glitches to earn unlimited cash the company was moved into action.

A spokesperson for Rockstar Games replied to the complaint, firstly by stating that the company takes, “cheating extremely seriously.”
Individuals should be reported by logging into GTA Online:

We take cheating extremely seriously. If you see anyone in Grand Theft Auto Online using cheats/mods or doing anything else suspicious, just send us an email at GTAOnlineBanhammer@rockstargames.com and include the following:

  • Platform (PS3 or Xbox 360)
  • Cheater’s Gamertag / PSN ID
  • Description of the violation
  • Approximate time/date of the violation
  • If possible, please include concrete evidence, such as a video or a screenshot

These glitches, such as the Los Santos Customs exploit would allow gamers to sell their expensive cars to the auto shop without actually losing it. Vehicles could then be duplicated by switching characters and rapid re-spawning. Despite a previous 1.05 title update patch this main offender to corruption in the multiplayer environment of GTA Online has not been dealt with.
