Insomniac Games Calling for Support After Intern Suffers in Car Accident

An intern for Insomniac Games, 20 year old Ana Kessel, has been struck by a hit and run driver whilst riding her scooter. Ana was badly injured and will now need to have her leg amputated. Insomniac Games are attempting to raise the funds to pay for the best possible prosthetic leg on the market for Ana and have started a GoFundMe fundraiser to this end. Their goal amount is $150,000, of which they have already raised just shy of $25,000.

Ana has recently graduated from Full Sail University and had been working at Insomniac on their upcoming title, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus which releases this week on the PS3. She was riding her scooter when she was struck by a car driven by 23 year old Michael Deontea Jones. Jones fled the scene but has since been arrested and charged with felony hit and run and driving without a valid license, according to ABC News.

Our best wishes are with Ana and we hope that Insomniac reaches their goal.
