BioShock Infinite DLC: Burial at Sea Episode 1 Available Today

It is time to return to Bioshock but even more so Rapture. From Bioshock Infinite’s world of Columbia we return to the dark depths of Rapture before the city fell from its grace.

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode 1 which is developed by Irrational Games is the second DLC to come out after Clash in the Clouds and is available from today to download for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Burial at Sea will see the return of Elizabeth and Booker but this time in a film noir style story which sets foot back in Rapture on the eve before its fall.

GamesTM have recently said “…intelligent, indulgent and nostalgic in equal measure, left dangling on a transfixing narrative hook.” Xbox360Achievements claimed it to be: “…a masterclass in how story-driven DLC should be.” IGN concluded: “It feels damn good to be back in Rapture.”

“It’s been particularly rewarding to return to Rapture with Booker and Elizabeth,” said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. “We were inspired by both Columbia’s and Rapture’s storylines, and merged them into something new. The icing on the cake is seeing the BioShock Infinite team build entirely new sections of the underwater city in the Infinite engine.”

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode 2 is currently in development and will see the players experieing Bioshock and Rapture from another side through Elizabeth’s eyes. This will bring in a new storyline and new stealth based gameplay.
