The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Vin Deisel and Gerard Butler are in talks to play the titular duo of game series Kane and Lynch. Butler would play angry man Kane, while Vin would play the angrier and crazier Lynch.

Millennium are heading the project, a different film studio than the 2007 attempt by Lionsgate. The original project was set to star Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx. It is unknown why the project fell through.

This by no makes the film a sure thing, just the first step towards it. Both Kane and Lynch games weren’t well received, both have an average Metacritic score in the mid-60’s. Created by IO Interactive, the studio has dropped all non-Hitman projects for time being.
