Capcom has forecast that their upcoming zombie action sequel Dead Rising 3 will sell 1.2 million units during this fiscal year.
The prediction is part of a finance document which covers the whole fiscal year, ending on March 31st, 2014. The Xbox One exclusive title is the third in the zombie action series, which prided itself on its silliness, trapping players in a shopping mall filled with zombies and essentially letting them go to work. The previous two games in the series sold 1.8 million and 2.8 million units respectively.
It remains to be seen whether or not the title’s position as an Xbox One exclusive will help or hinder its fortunes in the marketplace when it launches alongside the Xbox One this month. Only time will tell if the game can make Capcom’s sales target by the end of the fiscal year.
