Angry Birds Star Wars has been released today for current gen consoles – the PS3, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS. Next-gen versions were also announced today for release on November 22nd, 2013.
The game is the Star Wars-flavored spin-off of the feverishly popular mobile game, which originally launched developer Rovio into the pantheon of successful mobile studios.
The console version features 20 new stages for players to feel the force in, adding to the 200 stages already in the game carried over from the mobile release.
The Wii U version boasts touch-screen controls, bringing the series’ original input method to the big screen, while the Xbox 360 version will let players use their voice in some capacity if they own a Kinect. The upcoming PS4 version will utilise the touchpad on the Dual Shock 4, while the Xbox One features gesture control.
Angry Birds Star Wars is available now for Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system, PlayStation Vita system, and Nintendo 3DS.
